AKG K-712 Pro

Ensivaikutelma kuulokkeista oli todella hyvä. Pehmusteet ovat "memory foam" -materiaalia, joten esimerkiksi Sennheiserin HD 600 -kuulokkeisiin verrattuna mukavuus eritysesti silmälasien kanssa on vielä korkeampi. Kuulokkeet ovat todella kevyet, joten ne saattavat ns. unohtua päähän. Sangat ovat hieman heiveröiset, joten en suosittelisi esimerkiksi kuljettamaan näitä repussa sellaisenaan.

Äänen puolesta voin sanoa sen verran, että nämä ovat aika puhtaasti analyyttiseen kuunteluun tarkoitetut. Stereokuva on erittäin leveä, taajuuskäyrä ehkä hieman keski-yläpainotteinen, ja bassoa on siis vähän. Musiikin yksityiskohtia on helppo erottaa, ja huonolaatuiset äänitykset nämä paljastaa heti. Jos kuulokkeista haluaa "hauskemmat", ottavat ne vastaan taajuuskorjausta hyvin. Bassoakin voi nostaa aika korkealle, jos näistä haluaa jumputtavan kuuntelukokemuksen esimerkiksi elektronista musiikkia varten.

Ainoa ehkä hieman yllättävä seikka näissä on se, miten tehokkaan kuulokelähdön ne tarvitsevat. Puhelimesta tai suoraan emolevyn kuulokejakista nämä kuulostavat aika paperisilta, ja jopa USB-audiointerfacen kautta kuunneltuna teho ei tunnu riittävän. Suosittelen siis ehdottomasti erillistä kuulokevahvistinta näiden kaveriksi.

After using the AKG K-712 Pro for almost a year, I can't do anything but recommend them.

These headphones cover every genre of music from fast metal to sweet string orchestras and EDM. The detail, clarity and soundstage produced from these cans is incredible, and with a tiny emphasis to low-end I am satisfied and won't look back on the purchase. Response is incredible. Not that you have to tweak anything, but if you want, fiddling with equalizer is okay since the sound won't go muddy or harsh. I use these headphones for music, video editing, gaming and for playing my guitar. Whatever I do, it's a joy.

I would not take the headphones outdoors or for travels because of their size. Because these are power hungry, a headphone amplifier is a must. I have paired these with a Fiio e10k, and I feel like I need more power for higher volumes. For normal listening volumes Fiio does just fine. Comparing to Sony MDR-7506, the AKG K-712 is a lot more friendly to people with sensitive ears for higher frequencies.

First pair I received was faulty, and I returned them. Thomanns service is stellar, and the new pair I received hasn't shown any weaknesses on the build quality. As a last note, the memory foam pads provide incredible comfort.

I am very satisfied with the headphones. Comfort is worth a praise as I don't get fatigue from wearing these headphones at all.
These sound great and are very accurate, although I have only a little experience from other studio headphones. Games sound very good with these as well.
I have an Steinberg UR22mkII audio interface and the volume range is just loud enough for me. Most audio interfaces should be enough to give these a sufficient volume, but I would recommend a DAC if you have any doubts. If you connect these to a device that has too little power you can hear that it's a bit quiet or that some bass is lacking.
Overall a very good product.

Pääasiassa olen käyttänyt aktiivisia lähimonitorointi kaiuttimia työpöydällä JBL LSR 305 etc. Kaiuttimet ovat paljon kevyempiä musiikin kuunteluun. Ne eivät vaadi istumaan pöydän äärellä eikä purista päätä.

Nämä AKG K-712 pro kuulokkeet taas yllättivät täysin. Avara soundstage ja memory foam pehmuste monesti auttavat unohtamaan kuulokkeet päähän. Aivan kuin kuuntelisi kaiuttimilla musiikkia. Onneksi kuulokkeiden mukana tuli kierteinen puhelinlankajohto, niin johto antaa vähän periksi, jos vaikka sattuisi lähtemään pöydän äärestä kuulokkeita riisumatta.

Olen erittäin tyytyväinen ostokseen!

Whether it's for mixing raw audio or listening to vinyls, these headphones are the bee's knees. The open back design makes the soundscape very spacious yet accurate. I use these in both studio work and listening to music in my spare time.

I feel like it's almost a cliché to say that "You'll hear more small, subtle things in music with high-end headphones" but in my case that was pretty accurate. The overall sound quality is better - of course - but I also found a quiet synth track in one of my favorite albums which I have listened non-stop for almost 20 years, never heard it there before, haha.

The price was also just right for this product.

Really comfortable, look beautiful, quality build, enjoyable sound.

Now I don't have huge amount of experience in criticizing different kinds of audio equimpent, so I'm not going to review the sound thoroughly. Because nobody would believe a word of an amateur.

They are seriously good in all aspects. Worth every penny.
Feel really solid and tough but at the same time don't weigh much. Earpads are very decent, though I think I like big leather pads even more. The sound...well, you'll just have to listen to them for your self. Buying audio gear is like buying clothes, you have to try them. But I guarantee, they sound good. Even satisfies my basshead needs.
Also I personally love how they look. Use them for gaming, music, ..everything.

Can't go wrong with these, but I always recommend trying them first if you can.

I've always wanted to have a pair of great headphones, for listening and mixing purposes. Ultimately, I decided to go for the AKG K-712 Pro. The replacable cable is a great added function.
The sound is something else, especially since I'm used to headphones of way lesser quality. When listening to music (or other sounds) through these headphones, it almost feels like being there with the source of the sound.
I'm also amazed by the comfort. I'm prone to headaches, and wearing too tight headphones doesn't help. These ones though, have given me no issue despite the size! They really took comfort into account when making these. The headphones automatically fit on your head, and the memory foam helps the them fit around your ears.
All in all, this is a stellar product.
