Comfortable, good fit, but too bass heavy and almost no noise isolation
As someone with a small outer ear, and thus having a hard time finding in ear monitors that fit me, I bought this product due to the compact design, and the fact that I have good experience with Sennheiser as a brand.
The fit is perfect, and they are very comfortable to wear.
The sound is very detailed and good for the price. However, they are very bass heavy, which you need to be aware of when playing certain types of music. For me this means that everything else drowns out in the lower frequencies, and as a vocalist, this does not fit my needs and is a problem.
But the biggest problem with this product is the noise isolation - or rather the lack of that. Both the foam and silicone tips that come with the product doesn't isolate enough. So if I want to be able to hear anything other that muffled stage sound/rehearsal room sound, I would have to turn up the volume so much, that I would probably damage my ears.
Sadly I was too late, and couldn't send these back within the money-back-guarantee-period, which I would have done if I could. Because due to the problems I've mentioned, these in ear monitors are close to useless to me, as I can't get a clear sound in my ears, where I can hear what I'm doing.
I'm sure these would fit someone else and fit their needs. But beware to try these with full scene/rehearsal sound, so you know whether the noise isolation is an issue to you.
