The pots (knobs) are a bit noisy when turning them, as if they already needed contact spray, when I received the unit.
The contour selector dial knob's mark is also a bit misaligned, so it's not always easy to see which contour is selected, as the dial's mark may seem somewhat in-between two positions.
Apart from that, I'm satisfied with it. It solves the problem of making my ribbon mics easier to work with, as several of the contour settings include a hipass filter, and some boosting of presence or treble frequencies.
I like its sound, and it CAN actually saturate the signal, if required.
Worth mentioning is its "medium input impedance" as it's described in the manual. It does change the sound of f.e. ribbon mics a bit. For this reason, I like using my ribbons with the (amazing!) sE DM1 inline gain booster, which fixes the impedance issue. This solution will essentially give your ribbon mic two sound signatures: one mellow, and one that's more open.
