Not as good as Manfrotto 035
I have bought and used Manfrotto 035 Super Clamps for many years, but decided to try a couple of these in stead. They will be the only two Adam Hall clamps I own. They strive to be an almost identical copy of the Manfrotto, but have slightly worse tolerances and finish, and aren't nearly as smooth in operation. The threads are squeaky (yes, I know I can oil or grease them, but I never had to do that to Manfrotto's clamps) and the operation is slightly jerky.
The small triangular plastic insert falls out (Manfrotto's clicks in place) and the pegs don't go in as precisely as on the Manfrotto product.
I see no reason to choose Adam Hall's clamps over Manfrotto's in spite of the slightly lower price point, and I will stick to Manfrotto in the future.
The only thing I like is the main handle, which can be tightened without turning it full revolutions. Even though it's smaller than Manfrotto's, it's made of smooth metal rather than the rough plastic on the 035.
