Excellent product
I bought this so that I could leave my phone unattended in concert halls to to record sound checks and reherasals. It has been a perfect item, holding the phone securely and an incredibly easy fit into the stand. I've used it for family photos too which is very effective.
I would highly recommend this little extra if you ever need a stand for your phone, or want to set up your phone to record video or take photos on a timer.

Odd construction
It looks like something is missing. You get it with the 3m tape on top of it which when you remove you could permanently attach your phone?! Why is there glue? And what happened to the grey outer side that is in the pictures…
