Focusrite Vocaster Two Studio

My apple earbuds with a 3.5 jack have a better mic, the DM14V doesn't sound as good and I've tried all presets and correct mic placement (5-10cm from my mouth directly in front of it, under it and from a 45 degree angle to the side, nothing worked). It sounds more flat and doesn't have as much "depth" to my voice. Overall the build quality of the Vocaster Two interface is good, but the mic is disappointing. The headphones are okay but I have no other studio headphones to compare them with, but I do like the sound, however they are a tight fit when you take them off and put them down your neck, so you can't slide them down when not using them like with some other pairs, as it'll be hard to breathe, so you need to take them off (not sure if that's the case with all studio headphones or just these ones, as I've only owned normal ones before). They're fine if you keep them on over the ears though.
