Update – 18 June 2026
It’s high time we shared an update on our customer stories campaign, which we’ve been working on behind the scenes over the past few weeks. First and foremost, a huge thank you to everyone who took part and shared such a personal story with us. We were genuinely overwhelmed by the number of submissions we received. ✌️
The selection process has been anything but easy. Your stories were incredibly varied, and the overall quality was exceptionally high. Many of the submissions were deeply emotional, intensely personal, and incredibly meaningful. Writing them must have taken a lot from you, and reading them certainly took a lot from us. We can only thank you again for your trust and for your willingness to share such private and moving moments from your lives with us.
All of this made choosing the stories we’d like to take forward incredibly challenging. At the same time, it has inspired us even more to make the very best of this campaign. 🫶
We’re currently in the pre-production phase and are reaching out to potential selected participants to carefully discuss and plan the next steps, as well as the production of their stories. The winners of the €50 voucher will also be contacted separately by email shortly to confirm the issuing of their voucher.

Do you have a story that makes people stop and say:

Maybe you’re doing something completely unexpected with sound.
We’re searching for stories that are:
- emotional
- inspiring
- surprising
- funny
- powerful
- completely out of the ordinary
Whether you’re a jazz prodigy, a bedroom producer, a lifelong hobby musician, or someone who rediscovered music after years away – your story matters.

We’ve already heard some unforgettable stories:
🎹 A talented multi-instrumentalist from Central Europe with perfect pitch, who transformed his entire family home into a music studio.
🥁 A customer who returned to playing drums after 20 years and found that the physical rhythm of playing helped slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease.
These stories are real, moving, and unforgettable.
And we know there are many more out there.
Maybe someone is recording icebergs in the Arctic.
Maybe you play music for animals at a sanctuary.
Maybe your band performs for children in hospitals.
Maybe you found a way to play despite physical limitations.
We want to find the hidden musical magic across Europe.
🎥 What Happens If You’re Selected?
A small number of participants will be selected to be featured in our official Customer Stories series.
That means:
🎥 We’ll visit you with a professional film crew
🎙️ We’ll record an audio + video interview
✨ Your story will become part of Thomann’s brand campaign creatives
Afterwards, your story will be featured across Thomann’s brand creatives*.
*The resulting footage will be used on Thomann’s channels, ads, and promotional content – always with respect and care for your story.
🎁 Prizes & Vouchers
To say thank you for taking part:
- 20 participants will win a €50 Thomann voucher (random draw among all valid submissions)
And if you are selected for filming:
- You’ll receive a €1,000 Thomann voucher, which you can collect in person at our headquarters in Treppendorf or receive in digital form.
After filming, we’ll invite the winners to Thomann for a special small event later in the year.

📩 How to Apply
To submit your story, send us:
- a short description of your unique music journey
- a photo of you
- ideally a short video introducing yourself (optional)
The video is not mandatory and will not affect eligibility. However, a short video is highly appreciated, as it helps us – and especially the film crew – get a first impression and a better sense of the person behind the story.
