Versatile performer's keyboard

The Yamaha PSR-E483 is the successor to the popular PSR-E473 keyboard, which introduces a range of enhancements designed to make playing and operation even more intuitive. Alongside new features, it offers an expanded selection of voices and styles as well as an optimised user interface that supports a faster and more efficient workflow. New functions include Auto Chord Play for automatic chord accompaniment and a looper with multi-track recording capabilities, making the keyboard equally suitable for practising at home and performing live. Two rotary controls provide direct access to parameter adjustments in real time, while the broad selection of voices and styles covers numerous musical genres and provides a suitable choice for a wide range of applications.

Extensive content

The 860 voices available on the Yamaha PSR-E483 include electric pianos, organs, vibraphones, and strings, all of which can be played across the 61 touch-sensitive keys. Accompanying these sounds is a selection of 345 styles covering a broad range of genres, from Rock and Dance to Jazz; the Yamaha PSR-E483 also draws on musical traditions from around the world, giving players the flexibility to shape their performance according to their own preferences. The selection ranges from traditional organ and percussion sounds associated with South American music to Afrobeats and Igbo drums, with 19 Super Articulation Lite Voices adding further realism by reproducing characteristic details of non-keyboard instruments, such as the sound of guitar strings being strummed or the breathing techniques of wind players.

Simple to use

The Yamaha PSR-E483 is designed for keyboard players who want an expressive instrument that offers plenty of variety for both practice and performance, while its straightforward operation also makes it accessible to beginners. Practice features include a metronome and Auto Chord Play, which automatically generates suitable chords to accompany the notes being played, in addition to which players can practise along to their favourite songs thanks to the USB audio player. The expanded memory provides an even wider selection of voices and styles than the previous model, so beginners have plenty of opportunity to explore different sounds and develop their own musical style, with the option to layer voices for additional depth. Users who want to sing along with their playing and turn the keyboard into a more complete performance setup can also connect a microphone to the PSR-E483's rear panel.

About Yamaha

For decades, Yamaha has been one of the world's best-known manufacturers of musical instruments and audio technology. The Japanese company's long history began at the end of the 19th century with the harmonium. The product range has constantly expanded since then, which has made Yamaha one of the few manufacturers today to offer almost the entire range of existing musical instruments: From upright and grand pianos to guitars, wind instruments, and bowed string instruments and from drums and percussion to electronic keyboards and synthesizers. Yamaha is also a major force in the field of audio engineering as a manufacturer of mixing consoles, amplifiers, PA systems, and more. Yamaha's guiding principle is to combine traditional craftsmanship with state-of-the-art technology.

Perfect for composing songs

The entire performance can be recorded directly to a USB stick, while MIDI recording provides a convenient way to capture and develop song ideas. The built-in looper expands these possibilities by allowing chord progressions, drum patterns, and melodies to be recorded and played back in loops, making it possible to build performances from multiple tracks. With the Quick Sampling function, short musical phrases can also be recorded and incorporated into a performance or composition, with playback automatically waiting for the start of the next bar so that each sample comes in at the right moment. The finished compositions can then be enhanced with 41 DSP1 and 12 DSP2 effects, including reverb, chorus, and EQ in order to add further depth and realism to the overall sound.
