Very flimsy
I've tried this Violin clip in few gigs and always had issues of it falling off.
The rubber feet comes undone very easily and I had too look for them on stage in the dark last time :(
Its very light weight which is great but needs extra care to make sure you don't touch the mic while playing or get the cable pulled as it will come undone at the first instance
Its a shame there is no better solution as the t.bone ovid mics are really great value for the money.

Effective but not as robust as it might be ... use with care
We?re a Ceilidh band who?ve been using one or two Ovid System mics for our fiddles for our occasional gigs over the last couple of years ... amounting to five or six gigs a year. Overall we?re very pleased with the mics, they are great for live performance. However, despite being reasonably careful in attaching the mics (after all, fiddles are fairly delicate!) on one of the Violin Clips the thread of the screw that?s essential for holding the clip on the instrument has become damaged, meaning it won?t stay tightened in the right position. Unfortunately Thomann cannot supply a replacement screw, so we?ve had to buy a new clip. Disappointing! I suppose the lesson is to tighten the screw carefully and not too tight ... but I would never have expected hand tightening a clip to cause damage it!

Works but not perfectly, it is a bit loose and tiny plastic parts are not completely confidential

OK but...
I bought the violin clip for the t.bone Ovid system microphone at the same time as buying the Fiddle Pro mic to be compared by the fiddlers in our band. The four of them all said that the liked the mic but felt that the clip was flimsy. When attaching it, it felt like that it could snap and it felt awkward to fit.
It is also difficult to tighten the screw sufficiently to make it secure.
It does the job but compare it to the rock-solid Fiddle Pro, you will see a huge difference

Worked well but...
...it's fine, but I recommend glueing the rubber bits with superglue (after removing old glue), as the top one unglued on first use and if lost, makes the clip unusable.

A bit too small for the viola
I had some diffiulties adjusting it to my viola, but seems to work fine otherwise. Time will tell about the durability, my fear being that the grip could become a bit lose after some uses

Ok but...tighten the screws and secure them
One of the small screws fell out.. they should not do that. It is in a rug somewhere but we replaced it rather than the hazzle of reclamation.
Put some locktite on it.

Works OK but quite flimsy and easy to lose the nut
This mount works and most violinists are fine to use it, but it is SUPER easy to lose the nut that holds the adjustment screw in place. I've already done it once and now I am paranoid. I would strongly suggest buying the Lucan series violin clip (all metal) even to use with this mic system.
