Great pedal!

Adds a natural compression to the my guitar sound.
Makes playing easier. I have several compression pedals but never really kept any for a long period on my board.

An expensive device, but a typical Strymon quality and user experience. Not many options, but what's there is what I need. Also comes with a good user guide, which pedals usually lack.

Toller vielseitiger programmierbarer Kompressor und Booster

Habe mir dieses Dimng zugelegt ha ich bisher 2 Kompressoren auf dem Board hatte und Platz sparen möchte, dafür muss der Comp aber mindestens 2 speicherbare Sounds haben.
Beim Compadre kann man alle Parameter über MIDI Control Change Befehle setzen und auch Programme speichern. Schade das es kein Display gibt, das würde die MIDI Programmierung doch sehr erleichtern.
Der Sound ist hervorragend, man kann sowohl eine unauffällige 'Studio' Kompression oder einen auffälligeren Effekt 'sqeeze' einstellen.
Der 'sqeeze' klingt vieleicht für Hardcore Country Fans noch etwas zu brav (ich habe noch einen Walrus Audio Deep6 der das etwas besser kann, aber auch mehr rauscht). Toll ist das der Kompressor sehr nebengeräuscharm ist man hört keine Rauschfahne.
Ausserdem gibt es noch einen sehr gut klingenden Booster, der sich prima eignen einen Röhrenamp in die Verzerrung zu treiben, vor allem in Stellung 'mid' des Boost EQ. 'treble' dagegen klingt für mich leider nicht so sehr nach einem echten Treble Booster.
Man kann auch eine Verzerrung aktivieren ('dirty boost') welche gut klingt aber leider befindet sich der Schalter dafür auf der Rückseite des Gerätes, was ich mit einem Punk Abzug bei der bedienung bewertet habe. Auf der Frontplatte wäre nämlich noch genügend Platz gewesen.
Wer einen vielseitigen Kompressor, Booster und low-Gain Verzerrer in einem Gerät haben will: Kaufen. Der kann 2-3 andere Pedale ersetzen.
Der einzige echte Nachteil ist der hohe Preis und das man für MIDI dazu auch noch das teure Kabel von Strymon kaufen muss, das machen andere Hersteller (z.B. Source Audio) besser.

Riktigt trevlig och mångsidig pedal. Grym kompressor som utklassar min min gamla brusiga Boss. Med boosten kan du göra massor och jag behöver egentligen ingen overdrive på brädan längre.
