Can produce clearly defined rhythms

This Caxixi has got a nice sharp sound but projection is not that great, maybe because of its small size. If you are going to play near a microphone you have no issues. It is ideal if you need to produce clear cut rhythms that are not easily defined when played with other shakers. Their build make it possible to make such rhythms much more defined.

These Caxixis sound great although I don't agree with the plastic "gourd" bottoms. They tend to get a bit too agressive and hard sounding.

Nice little gadget at a good price. I was expecting it to sound a little louder. For this reason I found it hard to use live, but given the singular tone I've used it plenty in studio for overdubs.
