The RCF EVOX J9 is an active, portable three-way column PA system designed to deliver maximum clarity and performance in a compact format. A 1.75-inch compression driver paired with a 120°×40° True Resistive Waveguide provides wide, even coverage, while the column's six 3-inch full-range drivers handle the midrange and a powerful 12-inch woofer in a bass-reflex enclosure delivers deep, controlled bass. Powered by an integrated 2100W dual-channel amplifier, the RCF EVOX J9 produces an impressive maximum SPL of 130dB. As part of the EVOX J series, it brings RCF's tour-ready technology together in a slim, discreet enclosure that offers crystal-clear vocals, natural musical reproduction, and straightforward deployment for bands, DJs, and live performers.

Reliably balanced and clear
For quick and flexible operation, the three EQ presets can be selected at the touch of a button: Live/Linear for a neutral sound, Club for enhanced low-end and crisp highs, and Voice for maximum speech intelligibility. The integrated DSP processing ensures that the compression driver, full-range drivers and woofer work together as a single, cohesive system, delivering balanced reproduction regardless of the application or selected voicing. This sophisticated three-way design is one of the features that sets the EVOX J9 apart from many simpler column systems, contributing significantly to its clear and precise reproduction of both speech and music. Despite its performance, the low-distortion amplifier is very energy efficient and operates without a cooling fan. A robust design – no moving parts – featuring an aluminium heat exchanger further enhances reliability and long-term durability, while the integrated limiter preserves the character of the incoming signal whatever the volume level.

Great coverage, fast setup
The RCF EVOX J9 is aimed primarily at mobile DJs, smaller bands, and event professionals who want to cover a large audience area evenly with minimal effort. At weddings, conferences, or gigs across changing venues, the system's wide dispersion really comes into its own, ensuring that listeners standing off to the side of the stage are reached just as effectively. Its robust construction makes the EVOX J9 well suited to everyday use, while the slim column design keeps transport and setup refreshingly straightforward. Depending on the height of the stage, the system height can also be configured flexibly – either a zero-offset setup with the satellite mounted directly on the subwoofer, or a raised configuration using the supplied spacer section. If additional low-end extension is required, the system can easily be expanded with an RCF subwoofer. ACE-enabled models from the SUB AX series offer dedicated EVOX presets that automatically apply the required system tuning.

About RCF
In 1949 the Italian manufacturer RCF began to manufacture microphones and expanded its portfolio in the 1950s with a variety of sound reinforcement products. With the creation of its own development department for loudspeakers, RCF was able to make a name for itself and became a supplier to numerous well-known loudspeaker manufacturers in the USA and Europe. In 1970 the firm began to market its own in-house built hi-fi speakers which have since become part of their product range. From 1980 onwards, RCF has also focused on audio amplification for motor vehicles. Since 1990 the firm has been, and remains today, one of the major suppliers in the professional loudspeaker market.
An entirely new approach to transparency
All EVOX J loudspeakers feature RCF's proprietary FiRPHASE signal processing, which is designed to deliver transparent audio reproduction and a balanced overall sound. FiRPHASE optimises phase behaviour across the entire frequency spectrum, resulting in even coverage and a natural transient response while maintaining low system latency. The algorithm improves the interaction between the individual drivers, reducing the effects of unwanted resonances and acoustic cancellations. Complementing this is Bass Motion Control (BMC), which enables deep bass reproduction without compromising the stability of the woofer. Together, these technologies help the RCF EVOX J9 deliver excellent speech intelligibility, balanced musical reproduction, and controlled low-end performance. Professional input and output connectivity also makes it easy to integrate into existing PA setups, whether feeding the system from a mixing desk or linking additional loudspeakers where required. For even greater onboard flexibility, the EVOX JMIX9 builds on the same concept with a fully featured integrated mixer, allowing the wide, even coverage of the EVOX J series to be deployed as a self-contained solution.
