Works well, when filled with sand
Jeddr, 10.02.2019
The stands work well out of the box. They are light, but don't seem to be easy to push over. But since the speakers on them are a lot heavier I have filled up the vertical bar with sand in an effort to make the heavier. This also reduced some sympathetic vibrations the stands produce. So, for the budget and with some extra aftercare, they do what they are supposed to do.

Can?t complain much
Kal , 17.12.2018
Not too bad for cheap stands but the rotation lock isn?t that tight.
I placed a vxt 8 on these are were pretty fine with the weight at the lowest level.. don?t recommend going higher on anything heavy.

Cheap made
gabesmith, 28.11.2018
So first of all its worth the price, but not more. I would not put any heavier and expensive monitors on them. The first set I ordered was false made, I could not put them together bacause the srcrews were not welded in the right angle. Thanks for Thomann group they did send me another set, which works.
Positive: cheap
Negative: Its not really stable, when your monitors are already on them, you dont want to get close to it and accidently hit it :)

Broke one assembling it due to overtightening. Take care!
Andrew551, 20.09.2015
The vertical tube has a plate welded into each end. These plates make the tube into a cylinder except they are set back about 1cm from each end of the tube. The triangular base and rectangular top are attached to the tube using Allen screws that screw into a nut fixed behind each welded plate.
The stands come with an L shaped allen key. With this key it is extremely easy to over tighten the screw.
In my case the welded pate broke free from the tube with a pop sound as I put the speaker on the top. Do not repeat my mistake! I guess the plate could have been welded into the tube more securely, who knows. With the long part of the L as a handle a really large torque can be applied to the screw.
Other than this they seem well enough finished. The set comes with spikes and flat feet that you screw into the corners of the triangular base; a previous reviewer seems to have overlooked this. The top has strips of rubber attached to it which support the loudspeaker without rattles.
The stands are too high for living room use. They are a good height for sitting at a desk.

They're alright
JAG95, 26.02.2018
The stands do the job but I wouldn't buy them separately, they're best to buy with a bundle. The plastic screws you have to attach to the base are super fragile and as soon as I took them out for the box to attach them the first one broke... had to reattach it with super glue. The stand isn't wobbly anymore and they hold the monitors well but I though thomann would do better to be honest.

Nice stands: too high
Leni_J, 26.02.2019
Good solid mechanics, and they come with floor spikes. However, *minimum* height with even a small monitor is way too high for me (smallish, on a normal sized stool). Can be elevated to almost ceiling height if you usually do your mixing on scaffolding or a ladder. I had to scrap them off (too heavy to return) and used wall mounts instead. Are these trying to be PA stands or something?!

Maybe was the only one defected piece, i wish so :)
06.01.2016
My experience with this stands is really bad but i think anyway the manifacture is good.
All my friends has this since long time and for this reason i choice it.
I bhoughtt 2 pair of this.
One was stable and good.
One other had one bar not really solid since i got it but it was still standing....
Then some days later i discoverd that piece that keeps the screw, the one is soldered in the bar had a creepy soldering and it falls from the Bar.
I contacted Thomann and they quickly helped me with a back sending to reapair them.

I think was just a defected piece, this could happen but all in all the manifactur is solid

Very sturdy and do the job well
Ollie E., 08.01.2016
These stands were very simple to assemble, although the instructions provided were quite vague. Some written instructions would have been a real bonus but I can understand why there aren't due to Thomann supplying to a wide variety of places, so languages may differ.

The inclusion of carpet spikes, as well as rubber feet, was a great surprise as so many other companies seem to forget that not everyone has wood or laminate floors. Having carpet spikes results in it digging into my carpet and rub and making them very stable with no unwanted movement at all.

I am using these with KRK Rokit 8 Monitors which are quite heavy, at nearly 12KG each, and they have absolutely no problems with holding their weight - they are rock solid and show no signs of moving any time soon. The top plates have small isolation pads which help reduce any unwanted vibrations between the monitor and stands, so that you get the best quality sound.

Overall I could not be more pleased with these stands. They do the job very well and I can't really see any improvements that could be made to these.

UPDATE - I have found that at certain frequencies, one of my stands rattles very loudly, and despite my best efforts I can't get it to stop! My only guess is that it is the tube within the stand, part of the section that can be raised or lowered. I find it odd that it is just the one out of my two stands that rattles.

Not as good as I liked
Bastiaan, 13.05.2018
I wanted to use these to hold up my KRK Rokit 8s, but the top plateaus weren't as stabile as I would have likes. Also, the feet collect dust and they're a bit of a hassle to clean them with a vacuum cleaner, because of the sharp angles. They're otherwise well made and neatly finished. If you don't mind the dust and use lighter monitor speakers, they're probably fine.

What did u expect?
Blessyotrap, 04.02.2019
For the price, this is a reasonable stand. Although it wasnt really easy to setup the stands, and something even broke before i could use it, in the end they are quite stable.

Ok stands, not very straight but get the job done
Armageljon, 06.09.2018
Ok stands for the price. No buzzing when the speakers are loud, the height adjustability is somewhat limited. You can drill more holes in the tubes if you want smaller quantization of height. Use the stands with yamaha HS5 speaker. The angles on the stands are not precise, so they look a bit crooked when you take your time to look. Not a problem for me.

Meh
MileZeroStudio, 27.07.2018
They arrived with some scratches and maybe a bang or two but nothing that would make it less safe or useful.
They aren't that stable and the instructions are pretty weird.
They are cheap basically. If you need something cheap and have a pretty quiet room without lot of movement and people they will do their job but would not recommend for more than that.

It is ok..
PA user, 03.01.2014
This could be better speaker stand if the bottom of the stand would be build stronger and nicer. Triangle shape is just ugly, i had to cover them with cloth. The stand is moving a little if u touch it, it is not so strong build. The rubber on the bottom of triangle stand can be easily damaged or torn. I would not recommend this speaker stand for highly cost monitors, speakers. It is suitable for low cost products.

They are what they are
24.03.2014
Nothing particularly special about these but they get the job done. The cable tidies are useless as they just fall out but some cable ties keep everything looking neat. The foam tops allow a better grip for monitor insulation without slipping so thats a plus

Stability
Godric, 21.07.2015
There is not a great deal to say about these speaker-stands. For the money they do a reasonable job.

The assembly was straightforward and optional feet are available for carpet or non-carpet flooring. However the Base assembly is shown in the instructions as being fixed to the upright with a "U" shaped bracket . In fact only a flat washer is supplied, resulting in an assembly which is not as stable or rigid as it would have been with the bracket.

The top plate is only just big enough for an 8" monitor and is square, whereas a rectangular plate would be an improvement. The top plate is also rather thin and consequently not very rigid. I am going to modify mine by attaching bracing struts under the plate.

I understand this is low-cost product and my comments should be viewed in the light of that.

Beware of putting very heavy speakers on these
21.04.2015
I bought these for my Focal SM9s as they are spec'd to support the weight. Just to say that my speakers wobble on these when pushing the power button for example to turn them on. I wouldnt advise these stands for heavy speakers if there is any chance of someone being close to the speakers and accidentally touching them as they could fall off

A bit wobbly...
27.01.2015
These are ok for monitor stands, easy to set up and take down.

I find that they aren't great for keeping your monitors safe however, even with the right 'feet' screwed in for the surface there isn't enough of a surface area at the bottom to keep the stands rightfully steady.

That's the only beef I have with these stands, and unfortunately it's quite an important thing being assured if lets say a guitar hits one of these stands that your stands will stay put protecting your precious speakers.

If you need good stands I would recommend investing in good stands.
As a temporary measure these aren't too bad providing nothing is going to hit them.
(I haven't personally knocked these over, but I can see it happening somewhere along the line)

Cheap but bad!
02.02.2015
Sketchy product quality. Made out of weak metal, the plastic middle part between the inner and outer pole of this thing moves around wierdly. The 3 legs (comes with metal and rubber legs) are infuriating to adjust. If you have slightly crooked floors you will have a nightmare to perfectly level these things. I would recommend investing in something better. They are cheap though and that's the only good thing I can say about them.

Ok speaker stands - not amazing - but they are speaker stands... They sometimes feel a bit wonky, but if you spend time setting them up right and making sure they are 100% stable they are fine and do their job!

Millenium BS-500 Set
18.06.2014
Very useful and easy to set up. Light weight so you can easily move them around if needed. One thing, If you don't have much ground space the foot sometimes can be a problem because it takes to much of your floor around your desk. So recommended a little ground space.

Studio monitor stands that could have used a little more effort
Thom Z., 15.09.2013
Robust design but not quite thought through by the designer i all aspects. Some parts fits really bad (cable ties etc). In my delivery there were screws missing. Be prepared to spend an hour or so or consult the local handyman to make it work as intended.
