STURDY MONITOR STANDS
08.07.2015
I just put Yamaha HS8 Monitors on these very well made steel stands. The stands are set up to just sit the monitors on and there's a couple holes pre-drilled for that type of mounting if you're comfortable with it. I would rather not drill the cabinets to secure the monitors on the stands as a personal preference so I'll be making some kind of bracket that will compliment the design and fulfill the purpose.

I really don't think the monitors will slide off because there's nice soft rubber strips on the platform of the stands though I'd just feel better knowing something else is holding them on.

As far as tipping over, I don't believe that will happen unless someone bumps into them quite hard. Currently, I have the stands at the lowest level whereas the stand base seems configured well enough to prevent tipping over at that height. I haven't tried higher levels but the higher they go, I would make sense that would increases the tipping tendency but there's room on the base to put weight if needed. That may not be necessary though, one would have to test it. The lowest height setting is perfect for me and it needs no added weight. It's all simple physics.

Great quality stands that are priced very reasonable.

Shipping takes a little more time from what I'm used to but it's worth a weeks wait or so. The price is more than fair and it seems Thomann is a great place to shop and I will do so again.

The stands are just as described and just as I expected. Thank you for reading my review and good luck shopping for great stuff!

Good stands for the price - best to buy in bundle
Steven S, 05.01.2018
I bought these stands as part of the KRK RP5 Rokit G3 Stand Bundle. This was a wise decision as I read in other less positive feedback that larger speakers stick out of the platform or are too heavy. For the KRK's, they are just the right size. I would recommend foam pads such as the "t.akustik Iso-Pad 5" to place underneath your speakers for some shock demping as vibrations could become an issue.

Pro's: Easy to set up, if you got some IKEA-skills. Hold up my speakers very nicely. Beatiful black metal. Anti-slip platforms. Triangular feet make the whole thing stable.

Cons: The triangular feet are big (45,5 cm width), take this into account if you have a small room. There is only one screw at the bottom holding the bar in place which allows for some motion and could be considered too unstable for some people's taste. Be careful when tightening the screws, they are easily overtightened for the less experienced DIYs.

Conclusion: 1 star lost because of the specific dimensions and one screw too few to hold the bar in place. Other than that, does exactly what it is needed for and a great product.

Good quality speaker stands
Blackwatch, 26.04.2019
A pair of BS-500s was included with my purchase of two Yamaha HS7 monitors. I decided to put the speakers on stands behind desk, since my screen is 32 inch and there was not enough space on the desk to fit everything. The stands allowed me to make an equilateral triangle between the speakers an my chair. They also provide a decent height adjustment so you can level the speakers to your head depending on your height.
I expected a bit thicker and softer vibration dampening pads for the speakers to lie on. Regardless, there are no loose parts, and no unnecessary modes of vibration are introduced by the speakers into the support structure across the audible frequency range.
I do not like the triangular foundations of the stands, since I had to put the front two legs of my desk between the frame members. However, this strictly depends your own preference and setup.

I am extremely satisfied with the handling of my the order by Thomann. The main reason to choose them over a local Dutch company is the extended 3 year warranty, stock availability of all items I intended to buy and the quick order processing/delivery.

Solid and dependable
pcat, 27.06.2013
I put my Acoustic Energy AE22's on these and they really can be depended on to provide a solid base for your precious monitors. The interchangeable spikes work wonders in transfering the weight to the floor.

I have tried some other models but found them to be too narrow on top for the width of my speakers. The AE22 is a wide and heavy speaker and needs to be upon a solid foundation.

The fastenings are very solid as well and the available heights are very usable.

I am sure these will last a lifetime. They were not very expensive and Thomann delivered them in quick time to London.

The stands can be easily and quickly assembled. The broad foot and their weight provide stability. The stands can simply be adjusted in height.

Good stands with a very affordable price
weekywhawha, 08.02.2019
I bought these stands when I was in need to separate my monitors from my desk. They were very easy to assemble and in a few minutes were ready with my speakers on top.

The base is a bit smaller than my speakers HS80M but they did feel capable of handling their weight and size. There is also a kind of ruber on top to prevent the speakers from sliping.

Overall for the price you can't go wrong with the Millenium BS-500 Set, don't expect a very sturdy stand as this is quite a cheap product but it will get the job done in most cases. Be prepared to need more space between your desk and the wall as these stands will take quite some space.

Quality + Value
Andre1865, 27.10.2018
I bought these to support a pair of Mackie HR824's
after spending a while looking at other speaker stand options and various "high end solutions" i decided to go the cheap option and get these and to my delight, they're only cheap in cost. they do a great job of being speaker stands, are easy to assemble and are simply, Quality.
I recommend.. get them

Stand Up & Be Counted
Stephen662, 15.07.2015
These stands are pretty much an industry standard: very solid and can take the weight of anything from a small monitor through to a large nearfield. I have a pair of KRK RP8's on mine, and I have no worries about stability or security.

Height adjustment is secure with a locking pin backing up the screw lock. I would have preferred these to be capable of being adjusted lower (rather than the height being adjustable a lot higher), so currently I have these on the lowest setting height.
This is probably just me :) as I tend to have all my gear at floor level and sit on a floor cushion to compose & mix... LOL... so being able to have the speakers at 65cms would have been ideal!

The spikes are great, and other foot adapters are included should you not want to harm your flooring (but spikes are best!).

I have used these with Thomann isolation pads, but I'm sure you could just put the monitors on the stand and get a good sound.

The kit includes an Allen key so you don't need to scrabble around to find tools - assembly time for both stands is about 10 minutes if you are not in a rush :) Super simple, so those who are worried about assembly need have no fears.

Cable holders are included in the kit and these keep you wiring tidy. It is worth noting that the finish is a classy black and fits in with a studio aesthetic - or even your living room. The triangular base ensures even positioning on any surface, as well as fitting into tight spaces.

Overall, great professional stands.

Great product. I use them with KRK RP* RoKit G3 and they fit perfectly. The quality of the stands is also perfect. You can easily setup them to match you ears height or rotation. If anybody will need monitor stands I will definitely recommend this product.

Sturdy!!!
DanielOakfield, 26.06.2013
I am running a small home studio, I struggled with positioning my near-field monitors, too close, too far, too low, too high, wrong surface material, tried with foam pad underneath... I was unsure about buying stands until I gave them a try.. Detached my desk from the wall letting some 40cm to put the stands and my room acoustic has literally reborn!!!
Best solution around on the cheap but this set is not cheaply built for sure, I am pretty confident my cats could jump on them without make them shake too much, they arrived super quick in UK in a very smart box (tangram-ikea style), just needed to fix the bolts between the triangular base and the pole and the base and they were set.
Something not included in the description of the product: they come with two optional set of feet, one is a normal set of plain supports for solid floor, they can be set up to adapt to uneven floors and the other one is a metal bolt ending with a spike to be fixed on soft surface or wood, attention to details is what really makes this stands stand out from the crowd!!!!
Another thing to add is how well the extension for the height and rotation works.
The base is large enough to fit every kind of monitors and it's fitted with a thin isolation pad as well which helps with keeping the monitor in place with no sliding at all.
I have much more expensive stuff on my studio for sure but I really think this was one of the best investment I made!!

Millenium BS-500 Set
31.10.2016
The BS-500 stands are simple and awesome. They have plenty of room left on the upper plate for my KRK Rokit 5's, they also have 2 non-slip bands on the upper side of the holding plate (where you put your speakers on them).

The constructing of these 2 stands (they come 2 in a pack, of course) was easy, you get the picture of how to set them up inside the pack, it took 10 minutes for both to set them up.

They have a special butterfly screw that holds the shaft that's inside the main tube for raising or lowering the stands. The base is pretty big (I didn't imagine that 60 cm for each side of the triangle base is that big :) ) and the whole thing is very very sturdy. They say they can hold a maximum of 45 kg per stand, and now I believe that.

Also as a final note, they came with 2 different types of little support bits for the triangle base : 3 x plastic screws for adherance on the hardwood floor, and 3 x metal screws with a sharp end for carpet floor; they are mounted on the base of the holding triangle, on the bottom side, exactly at the points where each side intersects, there's a screw hole there. (the main purpose would be so they don't slip on the surface you have your stands)

So no cons, just pros. Thanks Thomann!

Solid choice form the money.
Iccapod, 12.12.2018
I got these as stands for a couple of Rokit RP5's. Solid stands, very good build quality. Nice grip material on top to keep the speakers from moving and for some absorption to prevent vibration. The only con I'd say is I found the base of the stands kinda awkward to fit comfortably in under desk etc. Very minor issue in fairness and totally situational.

Solid and good build quality
Marco4192, 13.05.2014
Solid speaker's stands, good build quality. It's not a German product like K&M but it's rock solid. They fit perfectly my Yamaha HS7 (I bought them with the bundle deal) and they are also quite easy to transport, for location recordings.
When I got them from the courier, they came in two boxes and I had to assembly them. The package was complete with everything, including the tool for the special screw, and instructions were quite easy to understand. I assembled the two stands in less than 10 minutes and they were ready to go. One last thing: it's very good the foam at the top, so the speakers fit perfectly and don't move.
Highly recommended, especially in combination with a bundle.

Simple et efficace
05.05.2016

Sturdy, well finished
Chumba, 29.03.2015
These Millennium BS-500 speaker stands must be the best value on the planet! Sold in pairs they are made from very sturdy steel tube and are superbly finished in a matt black powder-coat finish, very smooth. The height adjustment is easy to use and very safe, especially when inserting the included safety/security pin. The speaker stands come with two feet options, spikes for minimal vibration transfer or nylon pads for softer seating on solid floors. The installation instructions are easy to read and assembling each stand takes only a matter of 5 minutes. Each stand is also supplied with a foam-lined/vibration dampened top plate which easily screws into the top of the steel tube. Very sturdy, well made, beautifully finished and excellent value for money.
