Another great one from Sire!
bassplayer1494 18.05.2022
After taking a chance on a brand ive never heard of last year, I ended up with a Sire V7 that is an absolute joy to play.

Upon another spout of G.A.S. (Gear Aquisition Syndrome) I decided to take a chance and place an order for this M5.

I did considerable research on the bass, and on Thomann. I was a bit hesitant at first ordering because of this price.. It seemed too good to be true..

Alas, my bass arrived today, in perfect condition, plugged her in and was amazed by the tone, feel, and weight of the bass.

Sire, you knocked it out of the park again!
Thomann, thank you for a quick delivery to the US where I live. Very impressed with your customer service, prices, and shipping times.

Will definitely order again!

Straight out of the box.

Arrived today. Took it out of the box. All in tune. Brilliant quality. To buy an equivalent instrument you would have to spend at least one another thousand pounds. What a bass.

Beautiful 5 string
NickyD 25.09.2025
I bought this to go with my 4 string TRBX604 for added verstility, it was my first and only five string. I nearly chose the Natural swamp ash colour, but I'm glad I didn't, the colour is great. I have just started playing again after 40 years off, so I struggle a bit with tones, on Utube there are loads of reviews, some saying there are 15 different toes/pickup configurations. I struggle to hear the difference to be honest, I think there are two for me that work, but thats no problem. The active switch is a good feature, but the main issue with the controls is the stacked rotating ones, when top knobs the bottom ones rotate too, which is a little annoying, maybe it's because everything is new, I don't know. With my Yamaha, it came out of the box with a perfect set up, the MM has a low action G with all the others set higher, I think it needs a proper set up which will cost more £. All in all it is a beautiful guitar with good tones which you need to find what suits you and good value for money. The M7 is more expensive due to the maple top and more colour choice but the M5 has the same controls and body, so you pay for the look not the sound.

Nighthawk for real 03.02.2026
So far, this is the best Sire bass I've ever owned. The preamp is quite versatile. Many different tones can be achieved. Excellent quality for a mid-range bass. Highly recommended.
