H
For the price - very respectable!

I've played a number of acoustic guitars ranging from 200 to 2000 €. First of all - you can forget the "top shelf" sound but you can expect "value for money" from this guitar.

Pros:
- Very nice finish overall (gloss lacquer and frets are perfect)
- Very comfortable electric guitar-like neck and great action
- Nice overall "Cali" design and feel
- Fun and "fast" to play
- High piched, "brilliance" and "airy" sound (some may find it a con)
- quality, nice looking vintage tuners
- High quality Graph-Tec NuBone bridge AND saddle

Cons:
- A bit stale body design
- Not the top shelf sound (Tylor, Martin etc.)
- Some may dislike the high pitched sound and lower bass response
- No tuner with electronics (just tone and volume)
- Battery seemes to be located inside the soundhole

Haven't tried/neutral:
- Haven't tried the electronics yet, but supposedly it's good.
- The scale is interesting: 25,6" (I like it)
- Joints and glued parts are ok in the price range
- bending is better than most acoustics for sure, but I was expecting a tiny-itsy bit more.

Conclusion:
All in all it's a very worthy guitar for 350 €. I was considering an Epiphone J-200 studio, wich may have a better sound but the Newporter is a bit smaller, faster and very fun to play. I can recommend this guitar for home, recording and probably for gigs (but must try the electronics first).
