The smooth white film is beautiful but scratches very easily. Thankfully the scratches are not visible from a distance.
The head is quite resonant for a premuffled head and, for my setup, requires a tiny bit of muffling to restrict vibration.
A more important downside is that the porthole has been cut quite low. I cannot insert my bd mic straight in with my k&m bass drum mic stand (which is a very low stand I believe). The mic stand arm sits taller than the hole center, so miking halfway between the heads without touching the reso head with the stand arm is not easy.

Reso mit Loch

Fell funktioniert als Reso-Fell gut, ist leicht bedämpft, vergleichbar mit Powerstroke III von den anderen. Besser als bei der Konkurrenz: 1) ein am Rand sogar etwas verstärktes Loch ist schon sauberst an der richtigen Stelle hineingeschnitten, und 2) der Dämpfungsring ist von außen nicht zu sehen, was mir fürs Frontfell besser gefällt. Schlechter als beim Wettbewerber ist die Farbe aufgebracht, die ja offiziell keine "Beschichtung" im eigentlichen Sinne ist, kein "Coating". Nichtsdestoweniger löst sich Farbe, wenn man mal mit dem Fingernagel einen nicht mehr aktuellen Aufkleber der Ex-Band o.ä. entfernen will. Da muss man extrem vorsichtig vorgehen. Ähnliches ist mir bei Remo nie passiert.

Bel aspect, un blanc qui donne un petit coté rétro à ma grosse caisse, j'aime le son et la peau supporte de ne pas être trop tendue.

En general Evans hace muy buenos productos y este no es una excepción, saca unos graves muy buenos y además está muy bien acabado. El precio es un poco elevado pero normalmente hay que pagar por la calidad así que bien!
