I bought 2 of these pickups for my Godin Session to cure the 60 cycle hum problem. Worked very well in eliminating the hum. Sound great - clear but with character. Very pleased.

A must on strats!

This pickup nails the classic Strat neck tone without the annoying hum. Smooth highs, tight lows, and a very responsive feel. It stays clean and defined even with gain. If you want vintage tone with modern performance, the Area 58 is perfect.

Hab den 415er in der Neck-Position meiner Mexico Strat. Schöner Vintage Sound Perfekt geeignet für den "Stones Sound" und Country und Blues Klänge. Alles schön drahtig vom Sound her und brummfrei ist er auch noch, was will man mehr. Der Herr Dimarzio weiss mal wieder was er gemacht hat. Perfekter Strat Sound, nur zu empfehlen!!!!!

Acheté pour upgrader une strat Bacchus global qui avait un son acoustique superbe mais des micros insipides.
J'ai mis cet Area 58 en neck et le 61 en bridge.
C'est très propre, convient parfaitement aux distos modernes et aux effets.
En revanche si vous cherchez un pur son de strat vintage avec un jack dans un ampli à lampes... ce n'est peut-être pas la bonne pioche.
En terme de dynamique, de perlé et de caractère, c'est plutôt une déception. Sons clairs un peu ternes, attaques plutôt gommées.
J'ai gardé un fender fat 50 en middle qui souffre largement la comparaison et qui m'a coûté moitié moins.
Pour à peine plus cher, il y a bien mieux chez Grosh ou Van Zandt.
