This microphone has been offered by Behringer almost unchanged for many years. It is as easy to see, very similar to a competitor from America. Whether the sound is similar, was unclear when buying due to lack of experience.
In our Proberaum we connected the microphone to our Samson-mixer, took similar settings as the competitor's microphone (see above) of our singer and tested the volume first. Both microphones had almost the same output. At the close-up meeting, we could not hear any notable differences over the near-field monitors.
The sound is a bit brighter and tends to scrape at high volume and direct contact with the basket. This could be fixed by fine tuning the gain on the mixer. In addition, the renal characteristics appear to be somewhat more sensitive. It captures sound sources from the environment somewhat more clearly. These are, however, subjective auditory impressions from a non-acoustically decoupled space. We can not establish the extent to which production tolerances lead to similar results for the above competitors; These are the tasks of a laboratory which is perfectly equipped for measurements of any kind.
This microphone has proved its worth in continuous use during rehearsals, as well as on stage. Downfalls and unsafe handling have not yet left any acoustic impairments. Meanwhile we have a second in use that its services also does again reliably. As a microphone in the semiprofessional range it is absolutely recommended. As for the price:
Unbeatable. Conclusion: Why wander in the distance when the good is so close ...
Unfortunately there was an error. Please try again later.

I use the micro for home to make a few shots. I'm really surprised how good the mic sounds. Here and there it is also sometimes used in a sample. So for me as a background it is just the right thing. Anyone who is looking for a cheap complete set and does not have high requirements should access here. I am fully satisfied except for the fact that no one has and a switch.
