What a heavy brute though, and loud when you want it. I like the tone, but do not have a 10,000 pound instrument to compare it to. Fully featured, 4 banks of treble reeds and 4 banks of bass, selectable in various configurations. So, not 13 sets of reeds as advertised,but I had worked that out before I purchased.
Why no 5 star? Out of the hundreds of reeds, two are not working properly. I suspect dust shaken onto the reed during transit and will have to get the thing apart and have a look, but in general playing, I do not even notice.
So, other than having to build up strength in my arms to play the thing, I am very happy and it is more than I could expect for the money. I have read there are 12,000 parts in such an instrument, how they do it for the price I do not know, a cheap concertina with just 30 buttons is the same price! I am greedy, I wanted all the features, so I have to put up with the weight, but if I was learning, I would get a smaller instrument.
