This bass absolutely stunned me how well built and good looking it actually was in real life, as for it's sound and playability.
Playability: To start with my experinces with basses are limited- I'm originally a guitarist, that later converted to keyboards but recently rediscovered the guitar and now also decided to record my own bass stems as well,
But I can rely on my experience with guitars- this bass feels like an ibanez guitar in the double or tripple price range, it's extremely smooth to the finish and the neck is very comfortable to me.
Sound: This is perhaps both it's weakest and its strongest area- depending on what angle you approach it from, it's very versatile but it doesn't have anything unique about it's sound, it's "just" a bass.
This is to me exactly what I wanted thus I'm happy about it- it sounds like a bass, it's just there and does its job very well.
Cons:
I have a hard time to come up with any real cons for this bass, the only thing I can recall reacting upon is perhaps that the volume potentiometers are a bit weird and almost exhibit the behavior of a switch, (it's not really true) what I mean is that in 25% of the knobs turn rage you control like 90% of the output volume, it's very non linear. For me personally that is not a huge issue as I rather shape the sound post recording anyway, but it's the only thing I can think of that I think gives away that this bass is not a 2 or 3 times more expensive instrument than it is.
