So much so, with the original skins on (which aren't brilliant anyway), that you avoid playing them. So in a rehearsal studio scenario you have a couple of options. You can either spend hours fiddling about with tape and tissue and cushioning and tuning. Or you can buy one of these, fit it and play. Took just a couple of minutes to fit, totally took my ringing toms in hand, they sound great now - a bit of tuning and I've got a perfectly passable sound for practising. Top notch 'lazy' solution for toms that resonate way too much.
