Who would have thought I'd get so cross at a knob...

There isn't anything wrong with these knobs; i just don't like them that much. They are not high enough and feel a bit too light for my liking. They have the appearance of knobs that are made for a guitar that's SLIGHTLY smaller than standard; maybe some kind of weird 7/8th scale guitar. They're the wrong tone of goldi-sh to go with the natural finish on my instrument. However; for the right guitar I am sure they will be sufficient. For the price; I am quite content to have taken the gamble to find out if they were right for me.
