Are you feeling lucky?
This could be a very good instrument for the price or a really bad one overall entirely depending on your luck. The one that I've received is somewhere in the middle, it has some visual flaws that affect only my trust in Fender's QC. On the backside there are some spots where the white paint looks to have been retouched but it's under the clear lacquer so no big deal but what annoys me the most are the headstock decals, the "Stratocaster" decal is missing its last two letters somehow, they look to be under the lacquer as well so there's no way it got rubbed off in shipping, it left the factory that way. I've contemplated returning it but I'm sick of waiting for shipping or returns and I just want to play it.
Now to some positives, the feeling and sound are great, it's nicely balanced and comfortable to hold also very resonant and bright. The maple fingerboard feels smooth as does the back of the neck, the choice for pine wood for the body of the guitar is more of a premium feature that you won't find in this price range. Another pleasant surprise were the strings, usually on any other low budget guitar they would need to be changed but these aren't so bad.
As for some nitpicks, the action out of the box was too high but that's a problem all Squier or budget brands have and the White Blonde finish doesn't look that great as it's more of a pink-ish hue.
To get the best deal out of these guitars buy one out of a physical store where you can play and inspect them directly also save up some money for a professional luthier set-up, fret leveling, string action, intonation everything that can be done and then you will have a great instrument that can compete to others that cost twice or three times as much.
