Bought this to use with Ovid system

I purchased this to mount an Ovid system microphone on my resonator guitar, as I'd read that the Ovid clip was a bit flimsy whereas DPA makes the best guitar mic system (but I couldn't afford the DPA mic itself!). The DPA clip fits the Ovid mic's swan neck perfectly, and the clip certainly attaches securely to the guitar body and doesn't work loose because of its sprung ratchet gripping system. The clip is a small plastic assemblage and so it is not as robust as if it were made of metal and it should be treated with care, but so should the whole mic system of course. I'm very satsified with it.

This would be an excellent product if the clasping system was stronger.

This is a very strong mount, rubberized in all the right places. It clasps well onto the guitar and lasts reasonably well.

As previously mentioned, the system to keep the clip under tension (and therefore to fix onto the guitar) is very week and liable to break. After moderate use, two of these clips have broken on me.

Other than that... it's well designed!

Replacement for a broken clip to hold the small DPA microphone. Difficult to keep on the guitar body at times. Try not to overtighten.
