Surprisingly good for me

This is the crown Jewel of my clarinet! I never thought I can play this silent and clear ppp's before!

The response is great through the registers, no longer do the notes 'droop' from the start. Very easy to play, gives me the freedom to use the embouchure for colouring the play, no longer do I need to focus so hard on staying in tune.

Sound is as clear as one could expect from a Crystal mouthpiece. Still it doesn't alter the sound into something 'non-clarinet'. What I find wonderful is the very quiet, yet very clear ppp's. I can actually make the child sleep by playing the 'Cradle Song'.

There are clear signs of hand-made craftsmanship on the product, but they don't alter the sound or playability in any way.

The surface is so smooth that a common silver ligature may slip, so I'm considering a leather ligature just to prevent this.

The replacement of the defective mouthpiece has worked great. Thanks to the Thomann staff for their prompt and courteous response. It works great on my R-13 Buffet with a 2.5 strength 56 Rue Lepic Vandoren reed and Mitchell Lurie ligature. Easy to use and very satisfactory.

Sehr spezieller runder Sound, der nur bei Pomarico zu finden ist.
Eher in der Klassik anzuordnen, auch Unterhaltungsmusik aber kein Jazz, da es
vor seine Stärken vor allem unter dem Bereich von Fortissimo hat.
Bei mehr Lautstärke tönt die sonst so einzigartige Süsse bald schrill.
Alle Pomarico die ich besitze zeigen einen grösseren Luftwiderstand als z.B. Vandoren.

C'est le bec parfait ! Je passe d'un Vandoren BD5 à un Pomarico Saphir, et je suis comblé. Le son est magnifique, et le cristal ... c'est tellement confortable :)
