Externally very similar to the earlier 160 series with classic wooden frame
Two-part platter with internal belt and thick rubber mat, tonearm base and acrylic dust cover
The springs are now mounted on the base plate, with the subchassis resting on them rather than being suspended as in the past
The platter bearing is tensioned with a thin steel thread through a redirection against the base plate, forming a precise extension of the axis between the motor pulley and platter bearing. This eliminates any wobbling of the subchassis caused by the driving forces from the motor on the platter, allowing it to move exclusively in a piston-like up and down motion—a movement that does not disturb the tonearm and stylus while tracking the music in the record groove
The complex motor control system ensures a constant speed with exact synchronisation
Internal flat belt drive
Sub-turntable made of aluminium
Top turntable made of triCom
Fully electronically controlled and stabilised AC synchronous motor
Controls built into the chassis
