Surprised at the overwhelmingly positive reviews. I have a lot of mallets. This is - by some margin - my worst. I never use it. It's far too audible when striking, and the sound it generates is pretty uninspiring. For me the felt mallets are not manifesting the best sounds out of your bowls.
Did I mention I got this for free with the bowl bundle?
Some here have suggested it is a good 'entry level' bowl mallet though the similarly priced Thomann GSH S Gong/Singing Bowl Mallet is much better (but also flawed). In my opinion you are much better off spending a bit more on a Oli hess or Dragonfly on your journey to mallet nirvana.
