Die Suche hat endlich ein Ende - die Mojotone 59 Clone Low Output Humbucker machen genau das, was eine Les Paul tun soll!

Sie klingen warm, chimey, transparent und twangy. Sowohl Bridge als auch Neck-Pickup haben eine komplett klare Saitentrennung, keine Dominanz in den Tiefmitten. Insgesamt klingt meine Paula nun fast wie eine fette Telecaster, aber gepaart mit dem typischen "Schmatzen". Ebenfalls die Zwischenposition klingelt schön. Durch den etwas geringeren Output klingen die Pickups viel offener, luftiger und produzieren kein Matschen. Absolute Kaufempfehlung, Preis-Leistung Top!

Wichtiger Hinweis: Ich verwende ein 50s-Wiring mit Mallory 22nf Caps, womit die beiden Pickups wunderbar interagieren, durch die Ton-Potis erreicht man einen Mitten-Cut bis Woman Tone und beim Runterdrehen des Volumes bleiben die Höhen erhalten und die PUs immer transparent.

Ich hatte nach Pickups für eine Les Paul Faded gesucht, deren kappenlose Burstbucker mir zu spitz waren. Ich wollte weiterhin die Optik ohne Kappen, aber einen etwas klareren Klang.

Die Mojotone Low Output 59er erfüllen mir diesen Wunsch. Ich habe weiterhin die coole Optik der offenen Spulen, aber jetzt mit einem viel definierteren Klang. Super Ansprechverhalten, gute Regelbarkeit - für mich sind sie perfekt.

Vielleicht hilft es zur Orientierung: ich spiele in meinen anderen Les Pauls Humbucker mit Kappen, Gibson Burstbucker, 57 Classic und Custombucker, Seymour Duncan Seth Lover und Pearly Gates. Wer diese Tonabnehmer mag, dem müssten auch die Mojotones gut gefallen!
