Trockener Sound

Vorweg: Ich habe vom Cajonspielen praktisch keine Ahnung, wollte aber mal anfangen :) Ich habe vier verschiedene Cajons um 100EUR getestet und mich schließlich für dieses entschieden.
Im Gegensatz zu den anderen fand ich den Klang sehr trocken. Das fand ich zunächst ganz schrecklich aber im Laufe meiner Tests hat mir das immer mehr gefallen.
Das Cajon ist komplett aus Echtholz, was dem Klang sehr gut tut. Zwei meiner Kandidaten hatten einen Korpus aus MDF oder so. Das reduziert den Klang erheblich. Außerdem bin ich der Meinung, dass ich aus diesem Instrument von allen Kandidaten die meisten unterschiedlichen Töne hervorlocken konnte. Also z.B. je nachdem wie man den Bass und Snare spielt (Handwölbung), oder sei es am Korpus. Der Snareteppich ist auch beim Bass aktiv, lässt sich aber mit ein wenig Geschick mehr oder minder deutlich hervortreten.

Einstellungen:
Ich habe die Eckschrauben noch um etwa eine Umdrehung gelöst und somit jetzt auch Slapcorners. Mehr kann man nicht einstellen, denke ich. Das vermisse ich auch nicht. Bei einem meiner Testkandidaten konnte man den Snareteppich rausnehmen, womit man zwar einen Sound ohne Snare hatte, dafür war der Snare-Sound aber auch nicht gerade der Hammer.

Fazit: Wer den trockenen Sound mag, dem kann ich das Ding nur ans Herz legen. Und obendrein sieht's noch wunderschön aus :)
