Die HiHat klingt sehr fein, crisp, definiert und hat einen präzisen „Chick“ wenn sie getreten wird.

Da sie so fein klingt und jeden Stick Anschlag präzise verarbeitet, muss man auch sehr sauber spielen, denn z.B. etwas schlampige 6 Stroke Rolls oder 1/32 werden sehr deutlich hörbar. Die Classics Custom Dual verzeiht da schon etwas mehr ein paar kleine Fehler. Somit lernt man mit ihr gleich auch noch ein präziseres Spiel ;)

Auch beim Splashen der HiHat bzw. kontinuierlichem öffnen klingt sie sehr gut und nicht zu verwaschen.

Sie ist außerdem schon deutlich leiser als die 14“ Classics Custom Dark bzw. 14“ Zildjian New Beat.

Vom Sound her kommt die Zildjian New Beat HiHat sehr nahe ran. Diese ist allerdings nicht ganz so fein und definiert wie die Meinl.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit und empfehle sie allen, die eine feine Stick Definition, Crisp klingende und etwas leisere Hihat haben möchten.
