Battery-powered column PA system

The LD Systems Maui 5 Go 100 B is a compact column PA system that comprises an 8" subwoofer housed in a bass reflex enclosure that provides plenty of punch together with a line array of three 3" mid/high speakers that are equipped with powerful neodymium magnets. The system features an integrated lithium ion battery, which makes it perfect for use in settings where there is no mains power connection available, and the specially developed system of multi-pin connectors means the system can be assembled without the need for cables (also perfect when the user wants to keep their PA inconspicuous). Operation is also simple thanks to the easily accessible controls and status LEDs located on the top of the base unit.

Plenty of power for intimate settings

At 200W RMS - which represents a maximum SPL of 120dB - the LD Systems Maui 5 Go 100 B easily has enough power for an audience of around 40 people in indoor settings such as private parties or small gigs, events, or functions. Should more power be needed, the output signal can also be fed to a second PA via the system output located on the rear of the base unit. The Maui 5 Go 100 B's frequency response ranges from 50Hz to 20kHz (the upper limit of the normal range of human hearing), and the system is also equipped with a DSP developed in-house by LD Systems that controls functions including a limiter, equaliser, and compressor.

For singer-songwriters, solo entertainers, and garden parties

Singer-songwriters can use the LD Systems Maui 5 Go 100 B for rehearsals and small performances by simply plugging their guitar into the Hi-Z instrument input, and it can also be used as a monitoring system when performing on larger stages where a PA system is already provided. Solo entertainers in turn will appreciate the active system's jack/XLR combo inputs, which can receive both mono and stereo sources and also allow a microphone to be connected for speaking and announcing. An additional highlight is the integrated four-channel mixer, which will prove to be a valuable asset whenever additional audio tracks are integrated via Bluetooth or the 3.5mm auxiliary input. And speaking of the integrated Bluetooth interface: This of course makes the Maui 5 Go 100 B ideal for garden parties, where any desired music can be played from a smartphone.

I have 2 Maui 5 Go’s. I can’t fault them. I purchased them because I only DJ at kids parties and needed a portable and lightweight speaker system. They are super light and sound great. I can host parties for upto about 60 people with ease. Seconds to set up and pack down, the Bluetooth feature is very handy and the bonus of being battery powered is a big plus.

Highly recommended by me.

The Maui 5, good stuff.

I leave this at one of my regular gigs so I don't have to carry amps around.
It has a good set of features, bluetooth, stereo link for another Maui5 and enough inputs to be used as is.
No effects and only two tone knobs for treble and subwoofer levels.
This means you would make the most of it by adding a mixer or preamp.
It is quite versatile and it works well for many kinds of gigs, can be loud to a point but I haven't tried it full power at a busy venue, but I think for background music at a mid size room with 100-150 people is good enough.
Transporting it is alright with the set of bags, but I would not commute with it as the base part is quite heavy and painful on the hand to carry for a while.

Pour avoir eu la Bose S1 pro, la HK Audio Premium Pro Move 8 et la Teufel Rockster Air, elles ont toutes les trois le même problème : Bruit de souffle dans les évents dès que l'on pousse un peut et bruit typique de la membrane du HP qui tape... Il faudrait tester la JBL ou la Mackie mais je crains d'avoir le même problème.
J'ai le LD Maui 5 go depuis 1 mois et c'est juste incomparable pour moi. Il est serte le plus encombrant mais c'est le top niveau rendue sonore. Et gros + pas besoins de se trimballer un pied d'enceinte tout moche !
