Ich habe bei Thomann vier hochpreisige Bass-Ukulelen ausgiebig angetestet.
Diese Kala Rumbler hat mich sofort überzeugt. Das kleine sehr gut verarbeitete Instrument macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Der Mahagonikorpus und ein fishman-Tonabnehmersystem mit dreifach Klangregelung erzeugen einen fetten und lauten Sound, der einem Kontrabass sehr nahe kommt. Die Ukulele klingt sowohl über einen Preamp, als auch direkt über einen Akustikverstärker sehr schön und druckvoll. Dazu kommt noch eine ausgezeichnete Bespielbarkeit, man fühlt sich gleich wohl beim Spielen und findet alle Töne obwohl die Bünde schon kleiner sind. Ein eingebautes Stimmgerät schaltet beim Stimmen den Ton aus. Schließlich bereitet ein Batteriewechsel überhaupt keine Probleme. Das Batteriefach ist zusammen mit der Klinkenbuchse eingebaut.
