Honest Review for JW 2197 Bari Sax Case

All in all, this is a very good case. I'm confident that my baritone is quite safe in the case under normal use & as I don't take my bari out too much, it doesn't get knocked about frequently. I replaced the huge yamaha case my sax came in & the size difference is surprising, the JW 2197 isn't much bigger than my horn. The shell is tough, the 3 latches are sturdy (although a 4th latch may be better), the blue velvet looks nice quality, handle & strap fittings feel strong & the aluminium valance is rigid. It is also light, which is a big plus. One thing I did notice though, was that the f# key on the top rear bend of my ybs 62 was pressed open because it was leaning against the interior padding. With this in mind, it's probably worth securing the case if you are in transit. I would not let my saxophone go through a customs/flight situation in this case unless it was with my hand luggage. This case is more than good enough for my needs.

Solid slim bari sax case

Overall happy with how slim it is! You can store the essentials: the horn, a mouthpiece and a couple other small accessories. The main body is snug and won't shake within the case. Exterior finish is smooth and clean looking, the metal latches are secure and can be locked with key. Only disappointed there's no option to backpack carry it. Just carrying on one shoulder can get uncomfortable over long periods

Ich benötigte einen Bari- Koffer vor allem fürs Zug fahren - d.h. möglichst klein und möglichst leicht. Für diese Ansprüche ist der Jakob Winter Koffer absolut super - und das Instrument ist sehr gut geschützt. Anfechtbar ist, dass es kein brauchbares Rückentragesystem gibt- nur ein Riemen und nur auf der rechten Schulter tragbar. Die Verschlüsse sind auch sicher nicht für die Ewigkeit gedacht.

Trotzdem absolut gutes Preis- Leistungs Verhältnis.
