Fantastic case
Sonorous1 17.09.2019
This is a very high quality case that is a custom fit for modern Selmer alto saxophones. It should fit a Mark VI or VII perfectly as well. I use it for a Reference 54. The cushioning on the inside is amazing and the horn does not move around at all. There's a generous interior pocket for reeds, neck strap, cork grease, mouthpiece, etc., and organizational pockets on the outside as well. Backpack straps are well built and trusty. If you need more storage, consider a padded pouch to store more items inside the bell, but most users won't need that. These cases are not cheap but the quality is excellent.

Selmer Light Case Alto

Incredibly convenient and practical case!
My saxophone went perfectly inside, I am very satisfied!
I recommend this case, it is a pleasure to go with him, because he has two straps and his back does not get tired at all!
This case also has a lot of roomy pockets where you can put a bunch of accessories !!!
Thank you very much!

P
Great light weight case, providing good protection
PatrickJam 13.06.2025
I have a Selmer Ref 54 Hummingbird, collector edition. The case that came with it (20 years ago) is compact and looks great, but provides no storage whatsoever other than a snug fit for the sax. So I finally decided to buy a case that would provide good protection AND some decent storage for all bits and pieces. The Selmer Light Case fits that profile perfectly. It remains quite compact, but has several compartments for my reeds, mouth pieces and cleaning gear. I bought the same case for my tenor sax, also a ref. 54, several years ago (for exactly the same reasons), and it has proven to pass the test of time very well.

D
an almost perfect case
DBsax 03.07.2024
Really well designed, with great extra pockets as well as a really good interior (used for my Yani alto). After a couple of years use the webbing between the backpack straps is slightly disintegrating however this doesn't affect its functionality. As well as all the usual paraphernalia I also pack my iPad pro in the rear pocket, claves in the oval topside pocket, and clip on an additional camera-stand bag (using small climbing carabinas attached to the backpack rings) to hold my iPad stand, page turner, and other bits.
