Versatile foam

I bought this foam mainly to dampen different things like trem bridge, guitar in the case and use it for many things.
It is interestingly pre-cut/perforated so you can actually tear it straight without the use of a knife, if that is what you need. You can make many almost identical small foam cubes very fast or make a custom shape. It is what I wanted as I will not use it on big, curved surfaces where the perforation could be a problem as it would open the gaps from the cuts and would not spread the pressure evenly, but it can hold some weight when on flat surfaces. Good price and quality ... but have not used it for long.

This is two sheets of 2mm pick foam. Great for the 1U drawer! I don't know why it didn't pop up as a recommendation on the Thomann website. Very handy stuff!

Als Ersatz für defekten/verschnittenen Schaumstoff oder für eine Einteilung für ein 2. Equipment für Box 3

Was auf den Fotos hier nicht zu erkennen ist: Wie bei den Schaumstoffeinsätzen für die Box 4 und 5 (siehe Fotos dort!) ist der Foam perforiert und lässt sich daher gut in diverse Fächer aufteilen. Der durchgehende Rand von 15mm ist nicht perforiert.
TIPP (wie für Flyght Pro Case 4 beschrieben) :
Beim Einteilen der Fächer kann man die geraden Fächergrenzen recht gut vom vorgeschnittenen Schaumstoffquadern abreißen. Diese Quader sind vorgestanzt und messen 15x15x20 mm. Millimetergenaue Unterteilungen können aber auch mit einem scharfen Skalpell geschnitten werden; ein stumpfes Cuttermesser rupft und das Ergebnis sieht unschön aus. Mit einem spitzen Skalpell kann man sogar Rundungen ausschneiden und angleichen.
Zusammenkleben von Schaumstoff geht gut mit UHU-Kraft-Alleskleber.
Zur Erhöhung der Stabilität der Foam-Einsätze kann zusätzlich ein 1cm dicke selbstklebende Schaumstoffmatte (Schallschutz!) für 9,40€ Inclusive.Versand (von mail2mail, leider nicht von Thomann) oder eine ADAM Hall 87 Inlay (ca 1-2mm dick) eingeklebt werden.
Kleiner Nachteil: die vorgestanzten Schaumstoffquader reißen bei häufigem unvorsichtigem Herausnehmen der Inlays zunehmend ein.
Insgesamt Ware gut wie erwartet zu einem erträglichen Preis.
