Does what it is supposed to do
Benjamin Cristina 06.04.2022
If you are looking for an affordable speaker stand that is lightweight, easy to assemble and raises your speakers to the desired levels, look no further. They look sleek and airy on my desk, they have improved the sound in my room slightly, but it is noticeable. Sure, one can spend so much more on stands to maybe get some more improvement but to start these stands do the job very well. Especially at that price point.

Absolutely first class quality!
Vincetestarossa 15.11.2025
I've now got 3 sets of studio monitors as part of my studio setup;
Far Field, Mid Field and the Fluid FX50 Near Field monitors that I recently purchased with the Fluid Audio DS 5 stands.

My other monitors are positioned on isoAcoutstics monitor stands which are very good, but, when they are compared to the Fluid Audio DS 5 stands, the Fluid stands appear to be so much more solid and visually pleasing.

The Fluid stands are also so much more value for money than the other brands of monitor stands that I'm using and as a result, I may even replace the others with some more Fluid stands.

After using the Fluid stands for a week or so now, I've found that they also provide such a great separation from speaker to desktop which has most definitely helped with providing a more 'flatter' and 'uncoloured' sound in the mix, to the point where I'm using the Fluid FX50 monitors more than the other 2 monitors!

So, all there is left for me to say is;

Well done Fluid, both for the excellent FX50 near field monitors, and, the DS 5 stands!

Nice, do the job, but note that:
N. ketch 22.08.2022
I wanted them taller...
So I assembled them heretically by using both the short and the tall posts to raise the height to about 17 +cm!!! (Needs at least another 8 screws and some drilling)
Of course the stability is now compromised...
The term "adjustable height" actually concerns only the initial assembly, which is recommended to be permanent not only because it takes time to change the setup, but also continuous changes will result in wearing of parts, especially the MDF stabilizers: Be cautious how to treat them, they easily peel off during assembly.
The posts are plastic...
The feet are attached by sticking...
Pros:
-The acoustical decoupling is achieved. The difference is audible.
-They look nice in the living room too, not the case with the more stable and sturdy desktop monitor stands for studio use.
Cons:
- Quality of MDF stabilizers
- A little pricey

Recommended for Speaker placement and isolation!
Inon 11.10.2021
Provides very solid monitors/speakers placement and
isolation or decoupling from the desk surface with a very solid build quality and overall very good value for money.

The only drawback in this design IMO is that the
Initial setup is little bit cumbersome in the sense that you need to assemble the device with the proper height parts and of course this procedure needs to repeated in case your Height/Angle setup needs to change.

Overall still highly recommended for monitors decoupling and sound
improvement.
