Especially when you're going to play on unknown drums.
I don't take along bigger ones than 14", because I can put them on my snare and they're usable on the bigger drums.
Bigger rings are a pain to transport to a gig, or anywhere for that matter.

i used it in my joey jordison snare drum and it makes it full attack. killer.

Takes away top noise. Espcially for toms veryf usefull. It makes ad ifference.

This simple product does exactly what its advertising says.

When buying these again I will also get the 2" size as that is needed for some of my toms in order to get the right effect.
