DR-Saiten hab ich vor 2 Jahren entdeckt und spiele die seitdem sehr treu.

Die DR-LoRiders sind eine moderne Stahlsaite, die laut Hersteller "handmade" ist ... nagut, es werden keine kleinen Männchen die Saiten wickeln, wie auch immer.

Das schöne an DR-Saiten, zumindest an denen die ich im täglichen Einsatz habe, ist die Konsistenz an Zug und Ton über den gesamten Satz. Das stimmt von Anfang an. Und irgendetwas muss an "handmade" sein, ich hatte bisher noch keine tote Saite, was sonst ja gerne mal vorkommt.

Das Handling der Saiten is prima, ich mag diese Stahlsaiten. Sie sind griffig genug um nicht abzurutschen und glatt genug um schnell über die Lagen zu flitzen. Sehr gut. Der Saitenzug ist etwas höher als bei den HiBeams - aber es geht hier nur um Nuancen.

Der Ton:
Fundiert, brilliant, leichte Mittendämpfung ohne aber den Körper der Nöte "klein" zu machen. Ich finde, die Saite macht alle Spieltechniken gut mit, fundiert im Fingerstyle, sauber und mit gutem Attack mit dem Plektron. Auch Slapping klingt prima, obwohl ich finde, dass die HiBeams mehr "Hifi-Zing" haben - was aber nicht heisst, dass es den LoRiders an Brillianz mangelt, keineswegs.
Bei extremeren Spieltechniken fällt auf, dass die Saiten ein sehr schön sauberes Obertonspektrum aufweisen, Flagoletts werden prima unterstützt.

Auch gut: die Haltbarkeit. Bei normalem Spiel (täglich 'ne Stunde, eine Probe die Woche) halten sie gerne 3-4 Wochen den Ton. Natürlich wird die Brillianz mit der Zeit weniger, aber ich hatte auch nach 4 Wochen nicht das Gefühl auf einer toten Saite zu Spielen.

Sehr empfehlenswert, ich bleib bei DR!

Je teste beaucoup de marque de corde et franchement, les DR reviennent toujours mes préférées.

J'étais revenu sur les ernie ball slinky parce que les DR High Beam que j'avais l'habitude de jouer étaient beaucoup trop brillantes sur ma nouvelle basse. Puis j'ai quand même essayé les Lo Rider, et bien voila, j'ai retrouvé le son des High Beam avec les aigüe agressifs en moins.

Résumé :
- des DR High Beam sur 1 basse
- des DR Lo Rider sur la 2eme
- Longévité : attendre 2 jours pour avoir le grain parfait qui reste ensuite 1 mois max pour ceux qui aime la brillance. Les Ernie balls slinky durent plus longtemps.

Die Saiten sind jeden cent wert! Nachdem ich vor kurzem auf 5 Saiten umgestiegen bin, suchte ich nach einem passenden Partner für meinen neuen Bass; Hier wurde ich fündig. Nach wenigen Stunden Spielzeit stellt sich ein runderer, warmer Sound ein, der sich ewig hält.

Rispetto altre corde mi sono sembrate un po più enfatizzate sulle medie, può essere una buona cosa suonando insieme ad altri strumenti ma usate su un Sandberg TM5 non mi hanno soddisfatto personalmente come sound, però hanno un ottima tensione e l'elasticità risulta molto gradevole per chi non piace la corda elastica sotto le dita. Come durata non sono il massimo a mio parere...ma tutto sommato rimangono ottime corde nell'insieme.
