Impressions can be deceiving though, as it actually delivers a rich, powerful sound, extending right down into the sub‑bass range. More specifically, it offers a frequency response from 30Hz to 15kHz: Within that range, the response features plenty of low end, a pronounced mid‑range dip around 700Hz, and a boost between 5 and 12kHz. This results in a transparent signal that cuts clean through the mix, without any of the boxy midrange often associated with kick-drum miking.
