The Best cable for the best price
Among all the cables that I have (I've got the LLX version with silent connectors, the XXL version with silent connectors, old Orange cable) - this one is the best, it's actually sounds better with these connectors (although some people complain about them, I haven't had any issues with my Les Paul). So if you don't want to spend too much money for cables - this is the option. Still it's kinda interesting how Fender/Boss cables sound, but I think that my next choice will be Evidence/Vovox/Mogami (which are very expensive) - don't know when it happens because right now I'm very satisfied with the sound!
UPD. If you change the direction of this cable, you'll see the differences in the sound - it can become harsher or mellower depending on which side you choose. That's fantastic!

Great quality but jack pops out of some guitars.
I generally like Sommer cables a lot. Most of the cables in my studio are Sommer. But this one... it simply doesn't work with all my guitars. The jack won't insert properly and pops out. It seems to mostly be a problem with slightly obscure vintage guitars so I'm sure that if anything is out of spec it's more likely to be the guitars. But I've had this happening with several guitars now, and all my other guitar cables work great with those same guitars.
Don't get me wrong, the quality of this Sommer cable is great as always. It just doesn't play nicely with all guitars and I don't think that's quite good enough for top marks to be honest.
