A lazy way of being tidy
If you're struggling for room on your pedal board and you can't put them close to each other because your jack to jack cables are in the way, this is a great solution, Solid construction, you shouldn't ever have an issue with the build quality of anything by planet waves, however, the day will come when you're unpacking your gear, getting ready for a soundcheck and then it's your turn, Silence, that dreadful moment where you've got to fault find through your pedal board when everyone else is waiting for you to do your check and the gig is close to starting, people watching you etc etc, All it takes is a couple of mm of incorrectly plugged jack to kill the signal path, If however your pedals are properly held down via screws or black magic you should have no worries. If Planet waves thought of a locking device It would be full marks from me.

Fantastic connector
Such a brilliantly simple idea, I wish I had thought of it.
These fantastic little connections allow you to connect pedals together without having to drape wires all over your board.
As these are the straight ones, they only work when conncting pedals where the input and outputs are at the same level, see my other reviews for the angled ones!
The usual high quality Planet Waves construction, with gold (plated) jack plugs and a 'durable polymer overmould' which is a tough plastic casing with grippable sides for easy unplugging.
Sounds great too - it doesn't add anything or colour the sound of your pedals at all which is exactly what you want from a connector!

a bit unnecessarily wide. purely by the width of this thing it defeats the prupose of this thing.

Does Job
Does the job, is solid - but the middle section is actually quite bulky, might be better spacewise to get the 'z' connecting style rather than this if you are trying to go for least space used on a pedalboard.

Good price and high quality
Excellent adapter for guitarists. Small , sturdy and do not interfere. Well connects the pedals. A great thing if you want to see your pedal board with as less cables.

Planet Waves PW-P047A 1/4"Male
I am a long-time user of Planet Waves, and this is another decent member of it's family. Works perfectly, sits well inside pedals in my pedalboard. I would highly recommend it when you dont need different levels of connectors.

Great concept
I love the concept however a little impractical for guitar pedals as output and input of pedals need to be same height from the ground/pedalboard. Would be great for connect 2 of the same brand but hard to use for everything. Would also be a lot better if the middle bit wasn?t so long but that might just be me trying to fit 9 pedals on a small board.

Quality is great center piece is too long for me
If the center piece would be a little shorter would be very good for connecting pedals. Quality is good. Sometimes pedals have input and output in different position also height so this does not fit in all situations.

Good quality effects pedal adapter
Good quality effects pedal adapter. Very useful thing to the pedalboard, especially between the pedals from the same manufacturer. Now my pedals are connected stably and parallel in one line. a little expensive but I recommend
