Great value and best option
I was about to nail some strap knobs on my acoustic guitar ... but went with this instead. Best choice ever. It's even faster than using regular knob-based strapping ... and no risky holes on your guitar :-)
Playing position is different from electric, ofc, so be sure to test it out before, but balance is great if you properly attach this quick release system (follow instructions, they're accurate).
If you prefer to play standing and don't have knobs on your guitar from factory, this is a much better option for it and very robust quality material is used.

perfect tool for vintage archtop
i play archtop guitars on a strap even when sitting, i like to keep 'em high – and this vintage Framus Sorella was indeed old, precious and delicate... and never had a strap button!
i didn't want to drill a hole in its side, and i didn't want the weight of the instrument to hang off the neck (as we used to play dreadnoughts, when we were young).
the Daddario DGS15 turned out to be quite the pretty and useful solution.
I wrapped the longer bit around the end of neck, sliding it between the fretboard's underside and the guitar's top, ending up with the (female) clip on the side, close to the neck heel, where a strap button would be usually installed.
the (female) clip is firmly kept in place by its cord, just its tension across neck's heel and top, and stays with the guitar all the time, in its case, too.
the (male) clip is looped across the strap's eyelet, slipped inside the case pocket for safety during transport.
when you pull the guitar out of the case, you simply have to plug the clips together, and you're good to go – no parts loose in the case, no parts that can get lost or forgotten at the gig, and no holes drilled onto an old instrument... at a very affodable price, after a 5' experiment to set the right tension once for good, set and forget.

Bootlace-free!
What a simple, effective and inexpensive accessory! This quick release strap attachment saves the various ad-hoc methods of fastening which acoustic guitar players have had to use over the years. It looks nicer than a bootlace too! Great being able to use a strap quick release to enable a guitar to fit easily into a snug-fitting hard case.

Quick and easy
A modern and sleek approach to the old shoelace, the d'addario's quick release system does what it promises.
Easy to attach, small enough to stick in your case easily and built like a tank, I find myself coming back to these again for their quality and ease of use. The only downside is that they're not exactly pretty or as rustic from aesthetical sense as say, a strap of leather. Some may also find the length of the the black cord a little longer than desirable.
Overall, the item does as it promises and I've bought several of these over the years. I would recommend.

Quick Link
second time I've purchased the DGS15 Quick Release neck string. The first never let me down and is still doing the business so getting the second for a recently purchased guitar with no neck strap button, well the choice was simple.

Easy and quick
I use this product for mandoline. Many times on gigs I have to quickly take off my mandoline and take on another instrument. This product allows me to do it in simple was, without strange moves with straps around the head. I use it already two years and plastic is still in good shape, plastic quality is OK. Worth to buy.

Really love tjat product!
I really love it and I am using the Planet Waves DGS15 Quick Release System for all my acoustic instruments. Look very professional and easy to use. Great quality like the all Planet Waves and Daddario products! I think the every acoustic guitar should have one of these. Much stronger than shoe lace, no knots, quick release, easy to attach, and cheap. It is a great idea. It is well made.
Your guitar or any other instrument will be secure with that things way better then a shoelace and looks much better..
It may make the strap a bit longer but it is possible to make a double loop around the neck to make it shorter.
Love it!
