Pearl Die Cast DC hoops are probably some of the most expensive aftermarket hoops, but when you are looking for the perfect match for your Pearl Masters kit, nothing else seats and sounds quite as good.
I chose this hoop to replace a damaged one, but these are an equally good upgrade part for any good quality maple kit not yet paired with die cast hoops. They help release a much richer tone; having recently swapped out some steel hoops on another Pearl Maters Tom, I definitely prefer the overall sound with the Die Cast Hoops.
I probably wouldn’t recommend matching these with anything other than a Pearl kit; as I mentioned they are at the top end of the price range for Die Cast hoops and Thomann do other brands which may be better suited to other kits without necessarily being as expensive.
I was a bit worried about bending in transport; however I was pleased to find Pearl package these hoops extremely well; I had nothing to worry about. Thomann also added some additional protective packaging too before shipping.
I would definitely recommend this product for Pearl Masters kits, and would 100% buy it again from Thomann.
