I've been using OT for a year now and despite the frequent intensive usage it's still in perfect condition. Very accurate and durable as well. It takes some time to adjust it propelly, but it's totally worth the effort.

I use triggers mainly for playing metal and fast double bass. I use them combined with Roland TM-1 module connected with two separate inputs.

Pros:
* Triggers don't depend on the vibrations of the drum head, so a lot of false triggering coming from sympathetic vibrations caused by other drums and instruments is eliminated.

* In essence triggers need to be set/mounted only once. Once set/mounted, you only need to adjust them accordingly by bending the metal, on which the sensor is mounted, when moving the bass drum pedal from bass drum to some other drum kit/bass drum.

* No need to change trigger settings in the module to accommodate different bass drums, or need to meddle with the bass drum to avoid false triggering.

* Extra replacement sensor that is easy to replace.
* Ability to buy more replacement sensors from the manufacturer, which are pretty cheap in my opinion.

Cons:
From subjective point of view I couldn't find any cons, but I can see that some people might consider the following things as a con:
* Need to buy extra cables to connect triggers to a drum module
* To avoid any problems you need to use two inputs on the module instead of one.
* The sensor is being hit directly, so it can be easily damaged if not set properly (Is mentioned by the manufacturer).

All in all a very good affordable product for drummers that play a lot of fast double bass.

Hard to setup, but amazing performance.

I've spent at least 4h trying to get the trigger tapes, placements and trigger sensor angles right. It was utterly frustrating to setup. Once I did though nothing compares in accuracy and sensitivity. Once you'll get it right any bass drum from 16 to 22" or loose to tight will deliver. Gigging drummers best friend.

Eliminates most trigger issues
Nonsensei 06.02.2021
Attaching the trigger to the pedal eliminates most of the issues you will likely run into when the trigger is mounted against the drumhead. The tension of the drumhead no longer plays any part in how the trigger responds, so you can have a normal acoustic kick drum sound from your bass drum while also being able to use these triggers. No more misfired triggers due to the drumhead vibrations, no more false triggering from the snare.

Putting them on is a bit of a hassle, but once they're on, you likely won't need to do it again anytime soon. Just make sure you have at least 30 mins and a couple of beers for the process. Make sure to plan ahead how you position the trigger cables as well.

Pros:
- no mistriggers from the drumhead or other drums
- accurate
- always in place after installation

Cons:
- installation takes time and care
- cable management takes some effort
