Unbeatable for the budget oriented or beginner!
After decades of recording, I decided to get into the 500 world. Not knowing I would be crazy about the format in general, I looked and looked and 500 frames vary wildly in price (200€ to 2000€) - that's just crazy.
Frustrated after weeks of looking, pondering, I bought this unit thinking "well, at least if I do not like the format I won't lose a ton of money" I expected a piece of junk.
What I received was a very robust and attractive unit. I continue to be impressed with the quality of the unit and have not had an issue with it yet.
I have read other reviews of this unit and I know not everyone will have the same experience. This product is definitely "imported" - so consider that when purchasing. It was created to make a buck at a specific price point - and I look at it as a bit of a gamble. But the good thing is that if it doesn't work, you can send it back!
Though I must say I am please by it's quality and when I tun it on, I leave it on for hours and hours (sometimes overnight) and I have not had a moment's thought or worry of it's performance. I am using various modules from SSL, Elysia, and Warm. So I have placed a decent amount of trust into it at this point.
Pros:
* Super beefy and solid feeling
* After almost 1 year of regular use, it still running strong
* nice channel jumping/bus features
Cons:
* none to speak of, it's an import product at a super low price - expect to get what you pay for, but be pleasantly surprised at the overall quality!

Great product, really bad power supply
This product is well built, looks amazing and would love to have kept it, but...
After switching on the unit, it started to make a slight hissing noise. When I applied phantom power on my API 512V the hissing increased. Engaging the pad switch on top of the 48v switch resulted in even more hissing. Unusable for me.
It seems too good to be true at this price point... really disappointing so I sent it back...

Acceptable
In general the unit worth the money.
Built like a tank!
Weights a lot. Like 4 kg.
I mounted a Neve preamp and it works.
Just one thing hat I can’t understand is that the package contains no key.
Come on guys! You sell a frame for six units with no key? Really?
An advise for Midas marketing guys: Just put a key in the box and add one € more ;)

Amazing quality and value
I was suspicious of the low price but wasn't disappointed. The build quality is just as good as API lunchboxes. Feels just as solid. I had no problems fitting my Neve 1073lb and 2 SSL 6 channels into it. Everything lines up perfectly. Couldn't bring myself to pay for more expensive alternatives again. Only wish it came with spare blank plates.

No problem at all.
I heard some people got noise issue with this chassis. I was worry too. However I am very happy with this chassis now. No noise, good power, solid built. I guess the noise issue only happens when using with preamps , which I don't have so I do know if it is true. I also heard people using preamps with this without any problem as well so I have no idea. For this price it is an excellent chassis. I guess the noise problem has been fixed or only anomalies.

Very handy and portable, the only downside is to use some slots, especially the first one. But it might as well just be me that struggled unnecessarily.

Best price 500 series chase!
Cheaper than any other brand with good MIDAS brand name.
I really like the channel link between channels. It saves cables.

nice little box
it does the job of holding my neve replicas. sturdy build quite on a heavy side. recommended.

I didn’t expect a super perfect from such a price, but it could have been better, unfortunately it makes noise especially with preamps, if it’s not critical I can say that you can try it first.
