Seriously grippy
Seriously grippy little capo. Holds my mandolin strings down cleanly, no buzz at all, and looks awesome. Feels like it'll last for years.

Good capo for Bouzouki
I needed a good capo for my Irish Bouzouki ( Thomann / Hora one). The only options are the ones that fits to banjo and mandolin.
The Shubb Banjo C5, G7th Newport Capo Banjo, and the Planet Waves PW-CP-06 are not good for me because they locked with a screw that it is not an option with quite release. Also not the Dunlop Bill Russel Capo Elastic Banjo/Ukulele.
So my other options are the Kyser KBMB Banjo / Mandolin Capo and the Dunlop Trigger which i both have a great experience with the guitar model. I choose the Kyser one just because it look nice :)
it fits perfectly to the Irish Bouzouki and the sound and the quality are superb!

QUick changing and hard wearing
Great capo that I use on my ukulele and my mandolin. The capo has a tight grip, so you don't get any awful sounding strings.
Additionally, the style of the capo is sophisticated, so you won't be embarrassed donning this on your instrument. I have seen other capos that look like a pair of nightmare braces.

Easy to use
I've used it on a banjo and ukulele for a year and a half without any problems. The biggest advantage in my view is that it's very easily applied and removed from the instrument. The only disadvantage is the price. I do recommend it.

As with all Kyser Capos, its great.
The reason I'm giving it an OK and not higher is because I haven't got an expensive & great mandolin and am not sure if I should blame the mandolin. Basically on my mandolin it doesn't press down nicely enough. It's not strong enough and I have to spend a good amount of time positioning it to get it to press evenly.
Once on and well positioned its great... It's size is great as it doesn't get in the way at all. I have ordered the G7th Newport capo to see if it's better... But that one won't clamp to my head stock :(
I would recommend particularly for banjo as there are 4 less strings for it to contend with. My mandolin's string tension seems to be a bit too much for it :D

Product good but hard to play
While the product is very nice I have found playing this on a uke extremely difficult and in the way most of the time. I also play guitar and use a harley benton capo, the clippy one and have never had a problem with it being in the way while playing, it may just be the small size of the uke that is causing the problem but just be aware, other than that it works well, good pressure, nice design and finish.

Works fine!
I've mainly used this capo for ukulele and bouzouki and it handles those duties well. It's easy to use and it's stays in place. What more can you ask for of a simple capo?
I haven't tried to put it on s banjo yet, but i'm sure it will work just as good as it does with other non-guitars. :)

Kyser KBMB Banjo / Mandolin Capo
I bought this product to replace my previous Kyser Capo, which had lasted me about 10 years (of regular use). I use this for my Bouzouki & Octave Mandolin, and have found it quick & easy to use, and am impressed that it's able to maintaining the tuning(unlike other brands I have tried).

Not suitable for a curved fretboards.
Kyser capo. In my opinion the Kyser is the ultimate in capo technology. I have two that I use on my acoustic guitars and both work perfectly. HOWEVER, this Mandolin / Banjo capo is only suitable for a flat fretboard; it did not work on the slightly curved fretboard of my Mandolin. Thanks to Thomann for helping me to sort out this problem :)
