Harley Benton Custom Parts Celtic Knobs GD

Having recently picked up a guitar with the sole intention of chopping, swapping and modding it, I wanted knobs that stand out. Given that the body was a matte black finish, I felt as though a gold pair would add that extra bit of oomph. I browsed through various knobs with some being more traditional in design and shape than others, which were a little more risque and 'out there', before finally settling on the Harley Benton Celtic Knob.

The packaging contains both the knob and an Allen key to adjust the inner sleeve. The knob itself is well made and has a little bit of weight to it, which is nice. Some knobs can feel 'airy' or hollow, resulting in less feedback when you're using them. The design itself is fairly intricate but not quite as well defined as I would have hoped. It doesn't protrude as much as I originally thought it would, which can make it appear somewhat flat in regular indoor lighting and leave a little to be desired.

All in all, it's a solid knob that does its job. The design could be a little more pronounced, but that is a minor gripe that could easily be dismissed as the pattern is still noticeable from both up close and afar. The gold colouring is nice but can often be a tricky thing to manage if you're looking to group various gold peripherals together (such as matching pickups, saddles, bridges, etc). Solid purchase if you're looking to add a splash of colour and design to your guitar.

Hab mir die Knobs für meine HB ST-62DLX VW Vintage bestellt und optisch passen sie perfekt zum goldenen Pickguard und verleihen mit dem Celtic-Look der HB einen harmonischen feinen Eindruck für mich.

Flop:
Leider lässt die Verarbeitung zu Wünschen übrig, da der Schaft/Sleeve nicht zentriert wurde und dadurch die Knobs nicht horizontal zur Oberfläche drehen (eiern). Schade...
