True Historic pickup rings
The description does not mention this, but this is the true historic pickup rings Gibson use on their Historic and Custom Shop Models.
Replaced my low pickup rings on Standard Les Paul - the looks immediately better.
For anyone looking for historic correct looks - this is great product.
No modifications are required, fits both flat and arched top guitars, great color and material.
It may sound like a minor improvement, but high pickup rings looks add so much for Gibson guitar.

Passt auf Gibson aber Farbe ist nicht mehr "historic"
Ich habe an meiner Gibson cremefarbene Speedknobs verbaut. Hatte mir den PRPR-025 bestellt, obwohl ich die Ahnung hatte, das die Farbe nicht passen könnte. Wie befürchtet sind die flacheren Gibsonrahmen leicht schweinchenrosa.
Dann hatte ich mich erinnert, das ich vor einigen Jahren die Rahmen aus der Historic Serie von Gibson hatte und die waren immer mehr gelblich und passen so besser zu dem creme knob.
Leider ist die aktuelle Verpackung auch nicht mehr "historic" und sieht genauso modern aus, wie die der PRPR-025er Rahmen. Lediglich der Sticker auf der Rückseite weist sie als "historic" aus.
Von den Maßen stimmt das. Die PRPR-035er sind höher. Hätte bei mir zwar noch gepasst aber die Farbe ist exakt wie bei den günstigen. Somit kann ich sie nicht verwenden.
Andere Nachbauten von Göldo oder Harley Benton kaufe ich nicht, weil ich erstens nur Gibson an einer Gibson möchte, aber viel wichtiger, laut den Bewertungen passen die Bohrungen nicht. Ist mir unerklärlich, dass das die After Market Anbieter immer noch nicht hinbekommen.
Fazit:
Wer sich die Historic Rahmen kauft um den gelblichen creme Farbton zu bekommen, braucht die aktuellen nicht mehr zu kaufen. Exakt wie die non-historic PRPR-025.
Schade.
Verarbeitung und Passgenauigkeit sind aber spitze.

Habe mir von einem weiteren Händler bestätigen lassen, dass es wohl tatsächlich 2 unterschiedliche Produktvarianten der Historic PRPR-035 von Gibson gibt. Einmal die Verpackung mit dem dicken Historic Stempel drauf (Pappe verschweißt) und eben die aktuelle wo sie nur im Beutel liegen.
Ich werde mir einen Satz der "echten" bestellen und ein weiteres Update abgeben.

Vintage Look
Replaced the original mounting rings of my 2011 Gibson Les Paul Traditional because i do not like the look when the humbucker is higher than the frame.
It has a nice cream color and the the often seen piggy-red color.
And...only Gibson is good enough for my Gibson
The frames are for plain tops only. I heated them with a hair dryer to make them a little flexable, so they fit the carved top of the newer Les Pauls.
Perfect vintage look.

Ideal for upgrading the aesthetics of a USA Les Paul
These pick-up rings are “Historic Spec”, meaning they are Gibson Custom Shop parts typically used on the Historic series of Gibsons. I use these rings on a Gibson USA Les Paul Standard to “upgrade” the appearance to that of a 1960 reissue Les Paul. These replacements do the job perfectly.
Note: There is no top carve radius machined into the base of these rings (the bottom is flat), so I fitted them to the radius of the top by tightening the screws gradually over a few days.
This avoided warping of the plastic and/or fracturing under the bending pressure. These replacements are perfect for a typical Les Paul once fitted to its individual top carve.

Perfect for my Gibson
I have installed these frame on my Les Paul guitar and they fit perfectly.
Pros: Easy to install and they are reliable.
Cons: None.
I recommend it for guitar players who wants to replace their pickups frames.

As good as Gibson can make...
Look good, not true vintage replicas especially in the colour but close enough for most people I guess. Look nice on a Les Paul Standard where the factory rings are too short.

These are for Gibsons, but they fit my old Antoria guitar perfectly.

Big tall pickup rings
Good height, work well if you want the pickup close to the strings but still plenty of surround around them.
