Auf der Suche nach einem Glockenklang für das Adventskonzert habe ich bei meiner Lieblingshändlerin die Zildjian Zil-Bel Large gesehen und anspielen können. Und es hat mir (und auch meinen Schlagzeugern) sehr gut gefallen. Der Ton ist mitteltief und hält sehr lange an.

Allerdings benötigt man für die sehr schwere Glocke einen harten Schlägel. Nach einigen Test vor Ort habe ich mich für einen sehr sehr harten Filzschlägel entschieden. Da man jedoch sehr - wirklich sehr stark anschlagen muss, habe ich mir als Alternative noch einen Triangel Esienstab besorgt, den ich verkehrt herum halte, also den reinen Stab halte ich und mit der Gummimanschette schlage ich die Glocke an. Dadurch wird der Anschlag abgedämpft, durch das Gewicht des Stabes jedoch die Glocke genügend stark angeschlagen.
